At this year end, let us not be stifled because of our problems and fears, but instead, seek Jesus and His light because of our issues. The birth of Christ and His salvation is so that you can have hope. So, let the things unknown to us, let us draw closer to know them through the way God leads us, through the word God reveals to us, through the Holy Spirit that convicts and moves us.
A Whisper In Your Weariness
God often allows His children little opportunities to recognise how much we are in need of His presence and help. But we however, have to really shed the illusion we have on self-sufficiency, self-will and man-made strength. At times, God may craft situations in our lives to help reveal to us our limitations and our need to look to Him. Ultimately, He will provide for us in the right amount and time such that we do not just pacify physical needs, but our spiritual self is nourished and we can grow in dependence and trust in our Provider.
Grappling With Worries
Who doesn’t worry? Everyone worries about something in life at some point. Worrying is becoming such a common emotion we will have in life that sometimes we trivialise its impact on us. But the truth is anxiety reveals some form of lack that we have in trusting that God is entirely sovereign and has His good will in His plans we are unsure of. Let us relook at our worries and grapple with them through God’s truth alone.
Still Times, Stale Faith?
Are you at a seemingly peaceful, still and stagnant season now? For most of the pockets of times in life, we may not be facing anything dramatic and we just seem to move on an “okay” mode. However, these peaceful times can sometimes make our faith living feel dry, numb and “stale”.
