You Don’t Have To Bear It Alone

God does not let us go through the refining fire to incinerate our faith but to bring us into a state of submission, reliance and trust in the Lord’s sovereignty over our difficulties. Then will our faith be increased, our lives be exalting God until the day Christ comes again. And when we are bearing the cross of our lives while casting our cares to the Lord, our burdens will be lighter. So how does the Lord carry our burdens for us?

Let The Truth Guide Our Every Thought

Our thoughts can be very powerful. It trigger our emotions, thus affecting our words, actions, decisions and responses that follows. Thus, we need to be wary and guarded against the effects of being guided by our own judgment over the Lord’s.

The Trap Of Rationalisation

As we may have certain strong desires, it triggers our minds to work out ways, reasons and excuses to validate what we want to do as what is right. At times, even when the said desire is not pleasing to God, we may try to convince ourselves or others, in the hope that it will ease our spiritual guilt. However, we truly have to be guarded against the traps of rationalisation. If not, we will easily turn our desires into our god.

What If I Have Lingering Desires?

It is a blessed thing to be able to wrestle in our spirits and let go of certain carnal decisions or actions, but the aftermath, that is the lingering inclination and desire, is the one that could be trickier to deal with and we have to continue staying guarded against. Why? Because it seems more subtle but it could also lead to an accumulative unhappiness that robs us from our joy and freedom as a child of God. So, if we still have lingering desires for the undesirable, what should we do?

In Your Powerlessness, God Is Present

In our faith journey, there will be times where we feel powerless. But God wants us to know that it is not that He does not make a way for us, but it is a process that every one of His children will have to experience. So that it leads us to a path that turns back to Him, gaining strength from Him.
