A Good Headstart With The “Right” Voice

As we are finishing the last lap of 2021, let us think back on whether the voices we have heeded have led us to a blessed living? Is this Holy Spirit-driven voice in us, such that we can love and have mercy to those around us, or are we filled with more complaints and judgements? Now, we are always receiving some form of voice within us, therefore, we have to be vigil and discerning enough to make blessed choices.
Prey To Insinuations?

We are living in times where people hold more and more weightage on how they feel and think. Many easily let what their hearts feel become their truth and reality. However, a lot of times, the voices that come from our hearts can be emotional, baseless or may not be entirely objective. So in what circumstances do we become easy prey to insinuations? How can we keep our hearts from being easy prey to daily insinuations?
The Right “Feels”

At the end of the road, none that we hold onto now can be taken with us to meet the Lord, except the things that we have done while relying and trusting in Him. So let us cling onto feelings that comes from our faith in Christ, feelings that are build on a strong and firm foundation in His truth.
What’s New?

Are you one of those that like to seek “what is new?” Freshness is something most of us would look forward to. However, we may realise that even as we seek after or possess new things, very quickly, we will go back to the same feeling at the very end, either bored, numb and seeking new freshness again. So how then should we seek renewal in our lives according to the Lord’s guidance?
Wisdom In Seeking Joy

We are created in God’s image and because of that, God has set eternity on our hearts such that we cannot merely find contentment in earthly things. So instead of being fast-paced in seeking the pleasures of life, let us be fast-paced in challenging our thoughts of what is defined as joy in each season. And from there, grow spiritual thirst instead, for gaining wisdom through God’s way.
“I’ve Got The Bills Covered”

Wanting to pay for things by our own means is something we all try to do, and it is often the way it should be. However, there are things that cannot be calculated and paid down to a T. There are times that we are at the receiving end on things that cannot be repaid. But the way we receive it, makes a world of a difference. Let us restore the joy of being cheerful receivers of our ever present Provider.
Let Us Not Breed Discontentment

Are you feeling dissatisfied with any area of your life right now? Now, it is only natural we may feel this way because we have a nature to desire, to move forward, to strive. However, discontentment is the negative by-product of all these. Let us reflect within us and gain perspective from Queen Esther’s life.
The Word: To Meditate On and Delight In

Let us confirm our way with the Lord today with Psalm 119. May we restore and gain the blessings by finding delight in meditating on God precepts and considering His ways, not neglecting His Word in all our circumstances. Then, we will find our lives more and more sanctified, pure and joyful in the riches of the Lord’s ways.
Haggai: A Call To Reorder Priorities

Maybe we have been consciously or even unconsciously used to the rhythm of building our own “panelled houses” for some time now. But as we hear this message from Haggai, let us start looking at the other house that could need rebuilding and shift our priorities to what truly matters first.
Hard Times: Promises To Cling Onto

As we face the external darts and disappointments of daily life, whether it is fighting besetting sins, relationship issues, effects of the COVID, financial instability or problems at work, let us hold onto and be reminded consistently of the promises from the Lord.
