Foolishness of God is wiser than men

Everyone in the world is looking for power and wisdom.
Our obsession with human wisdom and powerful leaders can blind us to the true gospel and cause divisions with the church.
In 1 Corinthians 1:17-31, Paul reminds the church that Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
No amount of human wisdom or power can overcome the root problem of sin.
God chose what is foolish and weak to shame the wise and strong, so that no one may boast, except to boast in the Lord.
Is Christ Divided?

Church unity was at the top of the list of things Paul wanted to address with the Corinthian church. What causes divisions? What happens if we are more impressed by human wisdom and eloquence than by God? What kind of unity should we pursue?
Called and Kept by God

All blessings came from God’s grace and faithfulness, but can we give thanks simply because of that, or must we see certain desired outcomes first? It is by God’s grace that we are called to Him, but God calls us for what purpose? What does fellowship with Christ mean to you? Have you ever worried about whether you can stand firm in faith to the very end?
