You Lack “One Thing”

We know God is good, and we wish to taste His goodness. We try to build a real relationship with God by doing many things – attending church, serving, praying, etc, but we just cannot seem to fully enjoy the sweetness in Christ. What is wrong? Despite the many things we have done, Jesus said, “one thing is still lacking”. What is that “one thing”? It is our whole person, not merely a part of us, being committed to God. It is not about you completing a certain “to-do” list for God, but He wants “YOU” yourself, to follow Him wholeheartedly and enjoy hundredfold blessings – along with persecutions – in this life, and eternal life in the age to come. Yet, it sounds impossible for us to give our all for God? The good news is, though we are powerless, all things are possible with God! By His grace, He can empower us to follow Him wholly.
