Only know Christ and Him crucified

<1 Co 2> 1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with […]

Is Christ Divided?

Church unity was at the top of the list of things Paul wanted to address with the Corinthian church. What causes divisions? What happens if we are more impressed by human wisdom and eloquence than by God? What kind of unity should we pursue?

Called and Kept by God

All blessings came from God’s grace and faithfulness, but can we give thanks simply because of that, or must we see certain desired outcomes first? It is by God’s grace that we are called to Him, but God calls us for what purpose? What does fellowship with Christ mean to you? Have you ever worried about whether you can stand firm in faith to the very end?

Sowing to Please the Spirit

Do you tend to compare with people and think of yourself too highly or lowly in relation to them? How can we restore a right relationship with others, to love them and carry their burdens while not growing weary of doing good?

Walk by the Spirit and Bear its Fruit

The gospel message emphasises a lot on justification by faith alone, our works do not contribute to our salvation, but what about the lifestyle of Christians who are graciously saved? No Longer A Slave, But God’s Child

Is justification the biggest blessing from God? Can there be a blessing greater than that? Since Christ has redeemed us to receive adoption into sonship, are we enjoying our identity as God’s child, or are we enslaved all over again by those who are not gods?

Is the Law Opposed to God’s Promises?

Since we are saved by grace and not law, why then is the law given at all? Is the law opposed to the promises of God? Find out from this sermon on the useful functions of the law and the relationship between law and promise.

The Gospel is not of Human Origin

If the gospel is the power and wisdom of God, and the hope for sinful mankind, we must do our best to defend the gospel from any distortion. And if this gospel truth and grace have been given us by God, are we now pleasing God or still pleasing men? Are we clear about the objective gospel truth that we are witnessing about and do we have real subjective life transformation as evidence that the gospel has real power?

Galatians Series: No Other Gospel

Join us in this series on Galatians to look at how Paul did that, so that we can understand the gospel better and not be swayed by another “gospel”.
