Is Christ Divided?

Church unity was at the top of the list of things Paul wanted to address with the Corinthian church. What causes divisions? What happens if we are more impressed by human wisdom and eloquence than by God? What kind of unity should we pursue?

Yielding to God through the Mind, Heart and Will

Romans 6:17 says, ”But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.”
Men, made in God’s image, possess a soul that consists of three components: mind, heart, and will, which must be balanced and nurtured through the truths of the Gospel for healthy spiritual growth. Is our mind, heart, and will engaged through the truths of the gospel, to live a robust Christian life?

Called and Kept by God

All blessings came from God’s grace and faithfulness, but can we give thanks simply because of that, or must we see certain desired outcomes first? It is by God’s grace that we are called to Him, but God calls us for what purpose? What does fellowship with Christ mean to you? Have you ever worried about whether you can stand firm in faith to the very end?

Boasting In The Cross (Book of Galatians)

Human boasting often stems from insecurity and a desire for validation. In his conclusion to the letter to Galatians, Paul framed his final words on doctrine and rivalry with the concept of boasting. As we correctly understand and apply the gospel in our lives in everyday situations, we will experience the freedom, power and grace that comes from our new lives in Christ. Our boast will no longer be in empty glory or in our flesh, but in the cross of Jesus Christ.

How is Justification by Faith Useful to Me?

Despite its theological clarity, many believers question the practical implications of being justified by faith in their daily lives, especially when they already feel secure in their salvation.
To truly understand the doctrine of justification, believers must actively apply it in their lives, using it to walk through guilt, fear, and the pressures of all spiritual adversities.

Sowing to Please the Spirit

Do you tend to compare with people and think of yourself too highly or lowly in relation to them? How can we restore a right relationship with others, to love them and carry their burdens while not growing weary of doing good?

Walk by the Spirit and Bear its Fruit

The gospel message emphasises a lot on justification by faith alone, our works do not contribute to our salvation, but what about the lifestyle of Christians who are graciously saved? What are the evidences of our life transformation in Christ? Do you experience the conflict between your flesh and the Spirit? How can we overcome the desires of the flesh? Do we have the fruit of the Spirit in our lives?

Freedom Not To Sin, But To Love

<Gal 5> 1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. 2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.3 Again I declare to every man […]

Christ Has Set Us Free

The people in the world desire freedom, but they may not understand the true freedom in Christ that comes from our assurance as children of God. Though we were born into bondage of sins, we have been set free and called to live as children, by faith in the promises of God.
