Where He Calls Us, He Leads Us

What unique role or situation is God putting you in today? Is this role something you are willing to take up and a route you are willing to go through? Or do you sometimes wrestle with your own preferences over where the Lord has led you to? Do you put your trust in Him as you examine where you are, what you do and what God is calling you to do for Him? Let us look into the example of a God-called and God-led prophet today.

Everyone Has Sinned, But Not Everyone Let Sin Reign

Even after we yield our lives to Christ, sin will still try to reign in our bodies and attempt to make us obey its evil desires. How can we who are born in sin live a righteous life? And since our masters have changed, are we serving righteousness more diligently than we used to serve sin?

Playing The Judge?

We interact and live with all kinds of people. And because we are all sinners, surely there will be differences, some conflicts and then, there will come some form of judgement being developed because we all have our own set of standards and expectations. But let Jesus give us a deep and good heart check today, if anyone of us is struggling with being judgmental or unable to love another.

Before God, Before Men

We are often taught to live before God, but should we take care to live before man also? Does being responsible to God constitute responsibility to man also? Let’s not be one sided in the truth. Pure Christianity is not just being correct in our faith, but to live out that faith, and living out often involves our responsibility among men. Hear what Pastor Vincent has to say in this matter.

Relationship, Not Humanistic

There is a fine line between relationship and being humanistic. While God has given us relationship, HE has often warned us against falling into the trappings of being humanistic. While one values our fellow human with a godly attitude, the other one merely elevates humans to the point of making them our idols. Find out how we should value and pursue relationship in the light of scriptural teaching.

The Source Of Our Advice

Do we tend to shop for advices? When met with a little trouble or situation, when we are out of our own ideas or need some suggestions, we seek advices. But the way we seek for advices and the sources we turn to, we need to be aware and discerning about it. Let us look into the account of Rehoboam.

A Needful Provision

At times, God may craft situations in our lives to help reveal to us our limitations and our need to look to Him. Ultimately, He will provide for us in the right amount and time such that we do not just pacify physical needs, but our spiritual self is nourished and we can grow in dependence and trust in our Provider.

Living A Life That Is Not In Vain

Nobody likes to live their lives in vain. In order to live lives to the fullest, some people work hard to make money, build a successful career, gain social status; others focus on setting up a happy family; or some others sought to do bold things, so that their lives will have no regrets. What should you consider if you do not wish to live your life in vain?

Grappling With Worries

Who doesn’t worry? Everyone worries about something in life at some point. Worrying is becoming such a common emotion we will have in life that sometimes we trivialise its impact on us. But the truth is anxiety reveals some form of lack that we have in trusting that God is entirely sovereign and has His good will in His plans we are unsure of. Let us relook at our worries and grapple with them through God’s truth alone.

Is Christ A Means Or An End To You?

What is Jesus and the Christian faith to you? Do you love God for who He is? Is Christ the ultimate end to you or is He simply a means to some other end or desire you have?
