O Come Let Us Adore Jesus

In the familiar Christmas carol “O come, all ye faithful”, there is this refrain, “O come, let us adore Him!” Do we really adore Christ in our hearts? Or do we merely like to make use of Jesus to achieve our aims and meet our needs; do we only like to study and learn about Jesus; or do we really love and adore Him? What then is meant by adoring Jesus?

Hold Fast To Your Faith

It has been a long 2-3 years of pandemic. Everyone has learnt something about the fragility of men. Churches have also been brought to the reality of how grounded they are in the truth. Yet, the Lord is faithful to His promise. He looks after His people and continues to sanctify His Church. In this final episode of Weekend Devotion, hear from Pastor Vincent what it means to hold fast to the faith which God has given us.

The Bright Light That Is Jesus

At this year end, let us not be stifled because of our problems and fears, but instead, seek Jesus and His light because of our issues. The birth of Christ and His salvation is so that you can have hope. So, let the things unknown to us, let us draw closer to know them through the way God leads us, through the word God reveals to us, through the Holy Spirit that convicts and moves us.

Teach Us To Number Our Days

As we head into the year’s end, we may be busy with Christmas preparations and New Year’s resolutions, but God reminded us through Moses’s prayer to number our days, so that we will live our lives in holiness and devotion, not in busyness and commotion. May God bless us with His wisdom in the days to come.

As we reflect on the Christmas story, let us remember to receive God’s good news with humility, grow in humility through the unexpected circumstances in our lives and allow our humility to be used by God.

Always Be Battle Ready

Today, many people live in their comfortable state, and during this time, it gets easy to lose the sense of being in spiritual “battle mode”. But when we do not have the concept and need of being “battle ready”, we run the risk of being loose in our faith living, ignoring the need of putting on the full armour of God. So are we battle ready?

Become Fools So That You May Become Wise

No one likes to be considered foolish, and people use all kinds of ways to prove that they are wise. But what if we are seen as fools for the sake of Christ? Will we still want to keep following Him?

Cutting Off What Stumbles

“Do not conform to your sins”, “Do not give way to your inclinations”, “Wrestle with the untruths within you”, “Keep your hearts sanctified.” These are all phrases we have heard or we know by heart as a believer. However, combating the personal sins of our lives is truly harder than we can imagine. Whether it […]
