The Path Of Following The Lord

We all know about following the Lord. We know how it important it is to abide and be led by His ways. But when we are honest with ourselves, this “following” could have its lack and limitations. So how can I improve the way I follow the Lord? How can I follow the Lord more closely, more consistently?
Is God Small in Your Eyes?

Though Christians may not deny God, could we have unknowingly trivialized Him? Perhaps our circumstances make us feel that our God is small and cannot help us. Perhaps we think God is not big enough to satisfy us. Or perhaps, we secretly do not like a “big” God who controls us too much. Are we worshipping God on His terms or ours? Are we serving God or do we simply want a god who serves us?
Patch Up The Cracks: Retaining The Word

God does not want us to merely pursue an earthly satisfaction, peace, being worry free and care free. He wants us to be build up and strengthened even more with His word. However, the word of God seem to be “leaking” out of our hearts and minds through different gaps. So let us pray to be vigil and all the more focused on putting our eyes on listening and meditating upon His instructions. When we retain God’s word and use it as our main influence and compass, then can we stand tall before all our present circumstances.
How To Live In An Angry World?

Do we find ourselves getting angry easily, when we see people around us losing their tempers? Is it always wrong to be angry?
Our anger can actually tell us important things about the inclination of our hearts and our understanding of God.
The bible also provides a vision of the person we can be transformed into. Let’s shine with our gentleness and kindness in this angry world.
A Spiritual Eye Checkup

Our eyes are a very important part of our makeup, but it is also the window to which sin breeds. And because we are all born in the darkness of our sins, the main problem is that we become desensitised to knowing what real darkness is. We do not even realise we are treading on spiritual blindness and indifference over time. So do you often have a spiritual eye checkup? Let us learn from the example of Bartimaeus.
Reasoning With God

There are bound to be many things we do not understand about God, but have you ever reasoned with God? Can you agree that the Christian faith is a reasonable faith, even though reason cannot be a substitute for God? If so, with what can we use to reason with God?
Accountable For What You Yield To

Our hearts and minds are yielding to different things daily. However, what we yield to has great ripple effects to all areas of our lives. However, when we yield to the Word of God, it reminds us of the Lord who is personally with us, guiding us and helping us through in all things. So let us not respond like the people of the world, but through the word of God that you know, ask and seek for His will. Surely, He will make a way because your thoughts, actions and intention will be different from before.
Where’s My Harvest?

Many times when we serve the Lord or men, one of the perspective we quickly blur out after a while is that we are actually accountable to God, not to men. What we reap comes from Him. When we do something, the success or failure is actually not based on the outcomes we see, but whether it pleases our God. So where are you seeking your harvest in?
Our Holiness and God’s Work

A lot of believers desire to serve God and be used by God. However, we have also heard of stories of believers serving in church and grew lukewarm and cold in faith as they serve. We have also seen ministers in church living a life that is not aligned to the truth of God. In Paul’s final letters to Timothy, we would understand that as a worker approved by God, what we are comes before what we do. It is important to pursue personal holiness and be saturated with God’s Word to impart them rightly, if one desires to be vessels of honorable use in God’s kingdom.
Are You Treating “Holy” Things As “Common”?

Why do you think some Christians are unhappy, despite being saved by the most gracious and delightful God? What is still standing between them and God? What happens if Christians stop distinguishing between the unclean and the clean, the holy and the common?
