Marred But Mendable

We all want to be a nice piece of work, but many times, we can start well, but be marred in the middle, by some failures, setbacks, weaknesses, shame or hurts. But it does not stop there. We are all a work in progress until the day we meet Jesus again. But till then, do we see that we have a masterful Potter in charge of our making?

Judged For A Good Reason

The Lord has given us His love, His wisdom and courage. So no matter how people look at us, let our hearts be purified to do all things for the purpose of glorifying Him, so that our hearts can be upright and blameless as His beloved children. If we are to “perform”, let it be for the sake of Christ and the gospel.

Joy And Sorrow Intermingled

Joy and sorrow are present in every one’s life, just that certain people experience joy more often, while others taste sorrow more frequently. And we often thought that joy is mutually exclusive from sorrow. If one feels sorrowful, he cannot at the same time feel joyful, or can he? We cannot avoid the sorrows of living in this fallen world, but how can we taste joy in the midst of sorrows? What is the purpose of both joy and sorrow in our lives?

Offloading That Heavy Heart

As we are laden with our heavy hearts, let us fix our eyes on the Lord, remembering His faithfulness, love and purpose, so that we will restore a hope rested upon Him. When we continue doing so, you will be able to meet God’s tender, healing and wise guidance to lay down our burdens one by one, and then strengthening your spirit.

Get In The Ring With Our Doubts

In the same way like a wrestling match, we are also in a daily match. And the opponent is the many lies that may attack our hearts and minds to go against or doubt God’s truth. It may seem like a hassle or scary thing to get into the wrestling ring with our doubts, and face them. But may we find strength in knowing that we are doing it with the Lord and with His promises carved in our hearts, this match may be a long process, but a sure win.

Things To Work Through, Not Rush Through

In a fast paced society, we tend to work rush through instead of working through things. That is why most often than not, we can get the task done, but lost its spirit. Find out what are some of the important things in our lives that we really need to spend time and effort working through.

Fashioned In Christ

If we were brought to our spiritual wardrobe, what would be in there? It may be true that by knowledge we know about God, we may believe in Him and the goodness He gives, but the disparity comes when it flows into the day to day living. We may often be putting on clothings of frustration, discontentment, anger, worry, fear or bitterness on our spirit instead. So how do we put off these old garments and be fashioned in Christ?

Fighting Selfishness

The world increasingly thinks it is alright for us to be selfish, to engage in self-care, to love ourselves above other people and things. It thinks that it is nothing wrong for people to be selfish. But what does the Bible say and what was the teaching of Jesus? Is it really in our self-interest to be selfish? What can bring us greater reward than self-gratification?

Severing Bitter Roots

When not being dealt with, the wounds of bitterness will become rooted and even if we use our own will to protect our hearts, trying to think positively, the bitterness in our hearts will grow to be like a sword, ready to attack or affect our perspective of things, our relationship with God and with others. So how do we sever bitterness at its roots?
