Slow Growth In Faith
Let us not be disheartened should our spiritual growth and progress be slow. The Lord tells us, instead, to be matured and stable in in our walk with Christ. Therefore, let us dwell more on growing in perseverance and patience. It may seem like things are slow, but with the Lord, it is different.
Christ was Forsaken so that We Will Not be Abandoned
No one likes to be abandoned, for it implies that we are not important, not cared for, not loved. To be abandoned and forgotten by men is bad enough, but the worst form of abandonment is to be forsaken by God. Yet, that was exactly the kind of abandonment Jesus suffered for our sake. Why did God forsake His Son and why did Jesus allow Himself to be forsaken?
Lost Interest In God?
As with interests and hobbies in our lives, we may also lose our interest in God and faith living. It could be stemmed from all sorts of reasons through seasons of our lives. But how do we gain back that thirst, fervour and passion for Christ? How can we ignite that flame of faith again?

“Social phobia” is a new phenomenon which is on the rise among young people. We see more and more of the younger generation refusing to go out of their homes or meet with people. Humans are fickle, we can be praising God one day and blaming Him the next. It is easy for humans to ascribe praises to God when we see His signs and wonders. We can praise God when everything goes well with our lives and when we receive tangible blessings. But what if God doesn’t meet our expectations? Will we be tempted to turn away from Jesus then?

Let us not get more troubled or frustrated as we manage the feeling of stagnancy in our lives. The scripture have told us: “Forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead.” Keep our eyes on the right prize.
Be Surprised By God
We all have our own ideas of how God should answer our prayers, how He should help us, and what He should give us, but our God is a God of surprises and His work is not confined to our expectations or desires. Some of His surprises bring us relief while some may make us apprehensive. But can you still trust that God will surprise you for your good and for His glory? Will you be open to be surprised by God?
What I’m Looking For
We live in times now where we know better what we do not want, but are unsure of setting our foot down on what we do want. But let us really take time to reflect this question, what are you looking for? What do you really want in this life? May the word of God help us restore a new set of spiritual desires to help us stand firm with an eternal perspective.
