Craft: 2D Paper Globe Craft

We are going to make a paper globe craft for this verse as it talks about sharing the good news of Jesus to all the people of the world.

Now what are the things we need? Firstly, we need a paper circle cutout and a black marker or colour pencil.

Then, we need two strips of thick paper and one strip of thin paper. Some blue paint and some green paint. If you do not have paint, colour pencils or crayons are fine too.

You also need a pair of scissors. Make sure a grown up is with you when you are cutting anything.

Finally, you will need some glue.

So firstly, grab your paper circle cutout. This actually represents our world, so it is like a globe. Now I want you to take out your marker and draw on some land on it. About 2 big ones are good enough and make sure they are irregularly shaped, like islands. (draw one) It should look like this ok? Now you draw it!

Okay put that aside and take out your 2 thick paper strips. I want you to use your paint or colouring materials to colour one strip blue and the other strip green. Let’s do it!

Now if it is paint, leave it to dry for awhile. While waiting, take out your thin paper strip and write on this phrase with your marker: “Go and share the Good News of Jesus to the world.” Leave it aside and go back to your painted strips.

Now, grab your blue strip and cut it into small pieces, some can be rectangle or triangle cutouts, it is fine, but make sure you cut them small, like that.

Once done, do the same on your green strip. Cut it into smaller pieces.

Okay! Time to bring our your paper globe from earlier on and grab your glue.

Apply glue on the 2 land outlines of your globe and start pasting the green coloured cutouts on it. Then you have the lands!

Now, apply glue on the rest of the globe and paste on the blue coloured cutouts. There, you have the waters!

Almost done now. Remember your thin strip with the phrase? We are going to paste it on our globe. You can either paste right smack in the middle, or near the bottom. If you strip is too long and juts out from the globe, you can even cut up the phrase a little, and paste one part of the phrase at the top and the other below. Like this! All done! Now you can display it in your room, on your fridge or anywhere in the house to remind yourself of the Great Mission that we have to help Jesus share His good news, so that our loved ones can all know about the awesomeness of our God and Heaven!
