A Debt always has to be paid back
But what if it is a Moral Debt?
There is a DEBT which all men have owed God.
* For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. <Ro 3:23>
Man has invented his own ways to pay back his moral debts toward the Holy God.
Yet what is the repayment demanded by the Holy God?
1) No man can pay back the moral debt against God
2) God sent His Son, Jesus to pay for the debt of our sins
* God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God <2 Cor 5:21>.
* For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect <1 Peter 1:18-19>.
* It was impossible for death to keep its hold on him <Acts 2:24>.
* For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord <Ro 6:23>.
Salvation for all who repent of their sin and put their faith in Jesus.
* For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. <Jn 3:16>.
* And Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved <Acts 4:12>.
