God has poured out His love into our hearts. Thus, the hope that we should have is not about anticipating for something material, but it is a hope that leads us to open our hearts to His divine love. The heart that God wants to give us is one which is so filled with His love that we can embrace even trials and sufferings, and still hope in God’s goodness. Indeed, God’s love is always enough, but we lack the faith to fully embrace it. Thus, God allows us to go through painful process, so that we can develop perseverance, character, hope, and our hearts will be so filled with the love of God that we can see His love and glory in all situations. Only then can our faith be complete, and not lacking in anything.
